Auction description:
1966 JAGUAR MK2 3.4 LITRE
Motor Car Sale, H&H Classic Auctions Ltd (12th April 2006)
Overview
Finished in metallic sapphire blue with grey leather upholstery, this particular example is variously described by the vendor as being in "average" (3442cc engine, three-speed automatic transmission, electrical equipment, interior trim) or "good" (bodywork, paintwork, wheels / tyres) condition. Reportedly treated to some "significant work by a previous owner in 1999" which included a respray and unleaded fuel conversion, it is further said to benefit from power assisted steering and wire wheels

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
