Registered new in Derbyshire, '7504 NU' started Silver Grey but was changed early in life to Dark Blue. The vendor purchased it as a restoration project around 2009 and much of the ensuing improvements undertaken by Butlins & Sons, Derbyshire: following light restoration the body was repainted; the underside Waxoyled; new bumpers and over-riders fitted; and the remaining brightwork rechromed. The engine and stainless steel exhaust was removed and the bay resprayed and detailed. The radiator, hoses, and exhaust manifold were renewed; an alternator, heavy duty battery fitted and carburettors serviced. The gearbox, power steering pump and overdrive were refurbished, new rear springs fitted and the brakes overhauled. The interior was retrimmed in Black leather, the carpets and headlining renewed and the woodwork re-veneered. Five new high specification chrome wires were shod with Dunlop SP Sport tyres. The MKII comes complete with: original tools, service and workshop manuals; DVLA and Heritage Certificates; receipts, invoices, numerous photos, sundry old MOTs plus a fresh one and paperwork dating back to 1971.
