This car has just completed ( April 2015) a full 2 year restoration to a very high standard, bringing her to probably better than when first left the Jaguar Factory, & has only covered 400 miles since.

Bodywork.
Completely stripped, & renewed where required, repainted inside & out back to original factory colour of Opalescent dark blue. Bonnet has been louvered, & the rear wheel arch spats replaced with the sports style narrower versions.

All bright work has been either replaced or been re chromed.

Fully re trimmed in dark red leather, even the door cards & rear parcel shelf are in leather.

Reclining front seats with picnic tables, all wood work has been restored with new veneer, & the car has been fitted with discreet hazard warning lights & period front & rear seat belts, along with the addition of an E type Moto-Lita wood rim steering wheel.

Suspension & Brakes
All front & rear suspension was stripped, sand blasted & powder coated before being rebuilt will all new bushes, bearings & seals, new HT zinc plated bolts,

Front & rear shock absorbers are Spax 16 point adjustable.

Brakes 4 pot aluminium Coopercraft fronts with vented discs, rear are Coopercraft aluminium race versions, brake lines Goodridge braided stainless steel.

Engine & Exhaust System.
Engine totally rebuilt, with new valves, pistons, oil pump, timing chains & guides, water pump, Rob Beere Racing, goodridge braided cam shaft oil feed pipes.

Inlet manifold has been re machined to accept the 2x 2" SU carburettors, also fiited is the Wasp high torque starter motor & upgraded dynamo.

New clutch & lightened flywheel.

Cooling is handled by a Radtec high flow aluminium radiator, & a thermostatically controlled electric fan.

Exhaust system is a freeflow 2" bore stainless steel system complete with Stainless manifolds.

Gearbox overhauled with new seals & bushes, & the overdrive is superb.

Wheels & Tyres.
High quality US made new Dayton chrome wire wheels are fitted, along with Vredestein 185x 15 tyres.

The car has a complete photographic file detailing all the work undertaken, along with receipt file containing many of the parts & services used, to bring this superb high speed classic grand tourer to the A1 condition now offered for sale.

much sought after appreciating asset, & at a fraction of the cost to replicate.
