Car to be at auction 6/13
historics.co.uk/buying/auctions/2013-06-01/car/jaguar-mk-ii-34.aspx
Auction description:
1964 Jaguar Mk. II Saloon (3.4 litre)
Registration PRX 796B
Chassis Number 164994BW
Engine Number KJ27145
Odometer reading 81,515 miles
Estimate £12,000 - £15,000
This striking example benefitted from a program of works several years ago by marque specialists, Sawfords in Berkshire, at a cost of over £20,000. This included upgrading the car to rack and pinion steering, the fitting of air conditioning, a new alternator, suspension improvements as well as a stainless steel exhaust. Externally, chrome wire wheels have been fitted alongside Coombs Spats and power comes through a fully overhauled engine. Other sympathetic improvements include a 'face-off' stereo and a Moto-Lita steering wheel. Presented in sound condition throughout and with a reasonable service history, this iconic British touring car carries a full MoT test certificate and its original buff log book.

Lot 804 - JAGUAR MKII. 3.4 AUTO SALOON
JAGUAR MKII. 3.4 AUTO SALOON (1964) PRX796B 164994BW ENGINE NO KJ27145
This exceptional 1964 example of a 3.4 MKII with automatic transmission recently finished in metallic pale blue originally registered 4416 DG has been the subject of considerable restoration and refurbishment since 1995. With service, restoration and upgrade receipts on file totalling around £34,000. Although now showing some 81800 miles and having had six previous owners, the expense lavished on this vehicle over the years, offers a rare opportunity to acquire a MKII that needs for nothing. In most recent years the car has been used regularly and occasionally made available for wedding hire. Offered with V5C, large file of expenditure receipts, previous purchase receipt, past MOTs (1992-2008 & 2014)
Estimate: £15,000 - £20,000
