Details
Offered here is an outstanding example of the MKII, which the vendor informs us has been the subject of total refurbishment. The body has all new outer panels and has benefited from a high quality, bare metal repaint. The dark blue leather interior is in excellent order and the walnut veneers have all been refurbished.

The straight six, 3.4 XK engine has been reconditioned, utilising new or reconditioned parts throughout, a new wiring loom installed, all new fuel system, the braking system is all new as is the heating and cooling system. Much of the chrome work has been replaced or restored and the car has been equipped with front and rear seatbelts.

The car is further equipped with a Borg-Warner Type 35 gearbox and Vicarage, rack & pinion, power steering, which makes the car capable of holding its own in 21st century traffic, while retaining the beautiful and iconic1960's styling.

Finished in opalescent blue metallic, the car sits on chrome wire wheels and is presented in outstanding condition throughout.

Estimate £23000-25000

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
