www.barons-auctions.com/details.php

Auction description:
Manufacturer Jaguar Cars
Model MKII 3.4 Saloon
First Registered 1961
Registration No AOD510A
Engine No KH2277-8
Chassis No 157620DN
MOT July 2010
Colour BRG

Offered here is an early 3.4 example, which is equipped with the desirable, manual + overdrive transmission and has benefited from a £45,000 restoration. The car was originally supplied to the Australian market and reimported to the UK. The car was acquired by the vendor in 2000 after some time in storage and a comprehensive restoration was undertaken with assistance from Coopercraft.

The car is now equipped with Coopercraft brakes, rack and pinion power steering, big valve, unleaded head and 2" SU carburettors. It has been comprehensively rebuilt, with new interior, Coombes style rear arches and outstanding body and paintwork. The 3.4 litre, XK engine, has recently been rebuilt and the car is said to drive like a modern version of a MKII.

Finished in BRG with tan leather, the car is offered complete with a heritage certificate, comprehensive history file and a photographic record of the restoration.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
