Car was at auction in '09
www.brightwells.com/3rdparty/orphanspress/classiccars/viewdetails.php

Auction description:
Lot number 11
Hammer value £4,800
Description Jaguar Mk2 3.4 MoD
Registration 32 HYO
Year 1963
Colour Old English White
Engine size 3,442 cc
Chassis No. 155883DN
Engine No. KG89588

First registered in March 1963, this manual overdrive car comes in the traditional colour scheme of Old English White with a red leather interior and has had just four owners from new. It also has the desirable options of factory-fitted power steering and wire wheels. Although the cosmetic condition of the car is only described as ‘fair’, the car is said to be mechanically good and is in almost daily use with a long MOT and tax. It also has a nice transferable number plate, 32 HYO. One to use and enjoy as it is, or gradually improve over time.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
