Sellers description:
Owned since 2003. 104,750 miles. Car was delivered as a 2.4 L, 4 speed with white paint and red interior. Jaguar Heritage Certificate will be included. Car has been upgraded to a straight port head 3.8 L, 4 speed synchromesh transmission with overdrive. Engine runs strong. Fast, reliable and fun to drive. Never has left me stranded. Featured in the Welsh Jaguar 2013 Calendar (copy provided) . Documentation includes pictures and correspondence while owned by a prominent New South Wales Opposition Party Leader along with the specialty NSW license plate. Current CA black plates will transfer with car. Entered in only 2 local British car shows and took 1st & 2nd in class. That said, this is not a show car, but a very nice driver that can hold its own at any car show. Have service and parts receipts dating back to 1999. Any small spots of rust bubbles that were noticed during the repaint were attended to. The small drain holes at the bottoms of the doors can get plugged and retain rain water. I have included some photos taken when the Dynamat was installed to show how nice and dry the floor pan is. I also tried to get photos of the usual rust areas on Mk2's to show how solid this car is. Crows feet are intact, rear spring perches are solid. This car has lived it's life in either Sydney, Australia or San Diego. I don't think it has ever seen snow or salt. If you are looking for a nice MK2 that has had just about everything gone through at least once, and just get in and drive, this is the one. Since my ownership I have made a few (reversible) upgrades for the sake of drivability/reliability:
- High torque starter motor
- 60 A GM alternator (30 Amp dash gauge replaced with Jag Voltmeter)
- Aluminum radiator/electric fan/surge tank
- Poly suspension bushings
- Pertronix electronic ignition on a rebuilt distributor
- Spin-on oil filter adapter
New Connolly leather seats, door cards, tunnel vinyl installed in 2003. Just now starting to get that broken in look. New BAS carpeting and wool headliner installed in 2010. Carpet installed over Dynamax sound deadening material over entire floor pan. Repainted in correct Old English White in 2011.
Many Coombs-type performance upgrades have been installed:
-Louvered hood
-Heavy front sway bar
-Air Spreader (directs cooler, denser to the carb intakes)
-Derrington steering wheel
-SU HD-8 2" carbs
-Quick ratio steering gear box provided but not installed
- Manual switch for AED starting carb
-Coombs wheel spats
Becker Europa AM/FM/SW radio with electric aerial. Original toolkit. Also included are owners and official workshop manuals. 4.27 non-LSD rear end. Bolt-on wire wheels. No worn splines or knock offs to deal with.

I have tried to be as complete and honest as possible in the description. Please look at the photos carefully.
The bad:
- Transmission and/or OD leaks. Bad enough that the trans needs to be topped off every couple months. Upside is that everything behind the trans is rust proofed with a fine coat of oil.
- Chrome on bumpers is less than perfect and over riders have a few dents
- Transmission center mount bushing is perished (refer to trans oil leak)
- Windshield wiper motor not working & missing windshield washer pump/jar
- Steering wheel horn button not working. Alternate button installed.
- Speedo reads fast and needs calibration.
- Interior wood has not been restored, dash wood has become unglued at the edges.
-Some minor damage to drivers and RH passenger door vinyl.

This 1964 Jaguar MK II is an Australian-delivery example built on March 26, 1964. Formerly owned by Australian politician Peter Collins, this example was imported into California in 2003 before being acquired by the seller in 2016. Modified as a Coombs 3.8 tribute car, this example is powered by a replacement 3.8-liter inline-six paired with a 4-speed manual transmission with overdrive. This car is finished in white over red and is equipped with a louvered hood, open rear wheel spats, a Derrington steering wheel, a "B" type straight port head, SU HD8 carburetors, an aluminum radiator, and more. This MK II has won a number of awards and is now being offered with service records, some spares, assorted literature, a Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate, and a clean Ohio title in the seller's name.

Bodywork performed during previous ownership included replacement of the front fenders and a 2011 repaint in its original shade of cream, with overspray noted on the rear window seal. This car is equipped with a louvered hood, Jaguar 3.8 badging, Coombs-style rear wheel spats, and Lucas headlights. The seller reports that the insides of both bumpers were painted during his ownership and that new bumper overriders were fitted at that time as well.

Bolt-on 15″ wire wheels wear 205/65 tires. The suspension utilizes polyurethane suspension bushings and a front sway bar. The seller reports that the "16" meatball on the trunk is magnetic and similar graphics on the doors are vinyl.

The right-hand drive cabin is trimmed in red Connolly leather and the seller states that the previous owner installed new carpets, headliner, and sound deadening mats in 2011, and new upholstery and door panels in 2003, with two splits noted on the driver's door panel. Interior wood is said to be unrestored and could use refinishing per the seller, and a replacement dash top is included with the sale. The seller reports that the clock and windshield wipers do not work, and that a washer bottle and horns are not equipped, though horns are included with the sale.

An aftermarket, wood-rimmed Derrington steering wheel sits ahead of Smiths instrumentation including a tachometer, 140 mph speedometer that is said to read fast, and a Jaguar voltmeter in place of the ammeter. The odometer shows 6k miles, about 500 of which were added by the seller. Total mileage is unknown.
