Car has a buy it now price of $7,000 for 6 days. Car appears to have the California prefix J62 which would have made the first registered VIN J62P219673BW originally purchased in California.

Sellers description:
1962 MK-2 Jaguar sedan. Selling for a friend , I have limited knowledge about old cars, so if you have questions, I will try to get answers. This vehicle has been sitting in a warehouse for 25 years. The milleage reads less than 25,000 mi. I cannot verify the exact milleage . It was last tagged in 1980.

Selers description:
YUP!!! It IS a COUPE!!! A 1962 Jag MK-2 COUPE!!
The only one on the planet!!!!! Google MK-2 not another one to be found!!

I have a clear new Tennessee Title as a 2-Door!

I have at GREAT cost (more than $70,000) modified a perfectly fine, Essentially RUST FREE 1962 MK-2, with less than 45,00 miles into this work of art.

The car starts and immediately and drives like a new car, steers crisp, no shimmies or shakes or shudders.

No cost spared for me to create what was my dream for over 20 years. Much research and engineering has been applied.

The original color was Cotswald blue and I painted this a 2012-14 Jaguar French racing Blue used exclusively on the XKR-S check it out! The car was stripped to bare metal and NO signs of accident EVER a fist sized area of rust on left rear floor board was all that was seen.
The paint is flawless and hand rubbed to an amazing deep finish better than a new Jaguar, check out the reflection of the serial # on a dollar bill.

The EXTRA Trunk/boot lid with the opening fabricated to fit the spare tire, as in 1950's British sports cars will be given to the winner if they wish it at NO COST! It cost me over $2,500 to fabricate and paint and looks great on this car.

The amazing interior is in fact imported from Wolverhampton England, and consists of wool carpeting and wool headliner and new door panels. The seats are from a 2008 Jaguar XJ.
The walnut wood has been professionally refinished, no repairs needed as it was impeccable.
The steering wheel is a wood Derrington style.
The center custom console hosts the power antennae switch and the Sony am/Fm,CD, MP-3, USB, Bluetooth Radio with amazing sounding speakers in back and Kickpanels.
A Vintage air cools this UNIQUE coupe to a comfortable level.
All gauges except the AMP meter work well.
NEW wiring throughout, LUCAS has left the vehicle!

The wire wheels are NEW Dayton's x 5 with new knockoff Spinners and Michelin tires. Willwood disk brakes in front and a power dual master cylinder for safety

New FOG-RANGERS from England as well as rear plinth, grille, door handles etc
Suspension is completely rebuilt with new Urethane bushings an a Jaguar Power Rack and Pinion steering System placed

Engine has been replaced with a Fuel injected 4.3 Chevy and its mated overdrive automatic!!! This performed at great cost as you can imagine. Aluminum radiator etc.. The car starts IMMEDIATELY!! and can be serviced by any mechanic if needed.

The original matching # 3.8 engine and automatic Transmission has been sold to a friend of mine but could possibly be bought from him if you offer enough money.

Lot #133731

This 1962 Jaguar Mk II sedan was shortened into a coupe under previous ownership, and modifications following the seller’s 2016 acquisition included the installation of a 6.2-liter LS3 V8, a six-speed automatic transmission, 17″ wire wheels, Wilwood four-wheel disc brakes with dual front calipers, coilovers, LED headlights, MagnaFlow mufflers, power-adjustable heated and ventilated front seats, a roll bar, power front windows, a custom center console, Vintage Air air conditioning, and an aftermarket stereo system. This modified Mk II is now offered with build records and a Florida title in the seller’s name.

The sedan body and frame were shortened under previous ownership, and the body was refinished in blue. Details include LED headlights, quad exhaust outlets, and bright trim and bumpers. Paint bubbling is present on the lower-right corner of the trunk lid.

The 17″ knock-off wire wheels are mounted with 245/40 Continental ExtremeContact tires. The car rides on a front and rear coilover suspension, and braking is handled by Wilwood four-wheel disc brakes with dual front calipers.

The seating surfaces are trimmed in tan leather upholstery, and the power-adjustable heated and ventilated front bucket seats are said to have been sourced from a 2016 XJL. Equipment includes a roll bar, woodgrain trim, power front windows, a custom center console, Vintage Air air conditioning, and an aftermarket stereo system that includes Bluetooth connectivity, a subwoofer hidden in the rear seat center divider, and a trunk-mounted Rockford Fosgate amplifier. A fuse box is housed in the glove compartment and the seller notes that the cabin becomes warm during extended driving.

The wood-rimmed steering wheel frames a replacement 140-mph speedometer and a tachometer. Coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and voltage gauges are centrally mounted. The digital odometer shows 409 miles, and total mileage is unknown.

The 6.2-liter LS3 V8 and six-speed automatic transmission were installed in April 2016, A Spectre air intake, an aluminum radiator, and a custom fuel cell are fitted. The starter relay was replaced in September 2023.

The frame was shortened under previous ownership. A MagnaFlow dual exhaust system is fitted.

The Florida title notes “PA-Antique” under “Other Jurisdiction Brands.”

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
