Seller's description:

17k Miles Shown, TMU
3.8-Liter DOHC Inline-Six

Repainted in Factory Color
Reupholstered Seats
New Battery and Brake Pads
Private Party or Dealer: Private Party

This 1967 Jaguar S-Type was purchased by the seller 26 years ago with a Chevrolet engine installed, though the 3.8-liter DOHC inline-six has since been rebuilt and reinstalled. It is coupled to an automatic transmission, and the car was also repainted and reupholstered in the original color combination. Just 2k miles have been added since the engine rebuild, and work performed a few months ago included a new battery, new brake pads, and an oil change. This S-Type wears collectors plates and is now being offered with a clean Colorado title in the seller’s name.

Finished in the correct shade of Willow Green, the body was stripped and received rust repair before a repaint was performed. The passenger door has a large key scratch, and corrosion is visible behind the rear bumper in the gallery below.

The chrome wire wheels wear Michelin red stripe tires, and the seller notes the shocks will need replacing soon.

The interior is trimmed in leather upholstery with burled walnut trim and a period Blaupunkt radio. The seats have been reupholstered and the ignition button replaced. The seller reports that the tachometer is inoperable and the driver-side sun visor tends to droop. 16,806 miles are shown on the odometer, but true mileage is unknown.

A Chevrolet engine was installed when the seller acquired the car, and the factory 3.8-liter DOHC inline-six was included. The latter was eventually rebuilt and reinstalled, and 2k miles have since been added. September 2018 work included a new battery,
 brake pads, an oil change
, and a fuel system inspection
. Receipts can be provided for much of the work performed, and the BorgWarner automatic transmission is said to have a slight leak.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
